Bird's Eye View is in Dornoch. It's a first-floor apartment in a modern block right on the square. You're above the shops.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It was all done up a few years back so everything feels quite fresh. The main living area is open plan. It's not a huge space, but it's cleverly laid out.
The view from the front is what gives it the name. You look straight out over the square towards the castle and the cathedral. It's a proper focal point.
Location is the main thing here. Your front door is literally less than a minute from the pubs, restaurants, and shops. You can be on the first tee at Royal Dornoch Golf Course in five minutes on foot. The beach is about a ten-minute walk.
Within half an hour's drive you've got plenty. Tain and its Glenmorangie distillery are about fifteen minutes. The Falls of Shin are good for spotting salmon. Further north, you've got Dunrobin Castle, which is like something from a storybook.
Facilities are what you'd expect: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
For planning trips, the National Trust for Scotland and VisitScotland Highlands sites have good information.
