Wester Lonemore is a bungalow. You go in the front door and you're straight into the main room. It's all on one level. It sleeps five, three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The view is the main thing. It looks south, straight out over the Dornoch Sands towards the hills. You get the sunrise. Big picture windows.
It's a horseshoe-shaped room with an original open fireplace in the middle. There's an electric fire inside it now for extra heat. The kitchen is modern, with a Rangemaster. There's a sun room off the back, good for watching the garden. We get a lot of birds. Goldfinches, curlews, that sort of thing. Deer sometimes. There's a pond.
It's about a five minute walk down to the beach. A proper sandy bay. Quiet.
Dornoch village is three miles away. There are shops, a few places to eat, a pub. It's a nice little place to walk around. The cathedral is old. The famous Royal Dornoch golf course is there. There are several other courses nearby if that's your thing.
We've put in an air source heat pump and solar panels. Most of the year it runs off-grid. There's an electric vehicle charger. Parking is right outside.
Facilities: Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi included. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The garden is enclosed. You can bring two dogs.
If you're exploring, you're right near the North Coast 500 route. Inverness is about an hour's drive south.
