Fourpenny Studio is just outside Dornoch. It's a small studio cottage, attached to another property called Fourpenny Cottage. It's for two people. It has a 3 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and clean.
You come in the back door into a kitchen area. There's a step down into the living room, which is in a conservatory. That means it's bright. The bedroom has a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room.
Outside, there's a private bit of a shared garden. Part of it is a bee garden with wildflowers.
You're about a ten minute walk from the sand at Embo beach. It's a very big, quiet beach. The property is in a hamlet, so it's quiet. The main A9 road and the North Coast 500 route are a couple of miles away, which is handy for driving somewhere, but you don't hear the traffic.
Dornoch is a few minutes' drive. It's a nice little town with places to eat and a good beach. The famous Royal Dornoch golf course is there. There are other good courses nearby in Tain, Golspie, and Brora.
For walks, you can go straight from the door into Fourpenny Woods or over to the Coul Links sand dunes. If you want to drive further, you can get to a lot of the Northern Highlands in a day.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
This cottage can be booked together with Fourpenny Cottage next door if you're a bigger group.
