Solus Na Madainn is in Tain, in the Highlands. It's a cottage. The name is Gaelic and means "Morning Light". It's a good name, the front rooms get the sun in the morning.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's warm and comfortable. The living area is all one room with a kitchen, a table, and a sofa by the wood burner. There's a shower, not a bath.
There's a garden. It's enclosed and looks out over fields. You'll see birds. Sometimes deer.
You need to know about the stairs. They're in the description. They're a spiral staircase and they're quite steep. Fine for most, but something to be aware of.
Tain itself is a nice old town. There's a local pub within walking distance. For shops, you've got everything you need there too. The coast is about ten minutes' drive. You can get down to the water at places like the Dornoch Firth.
You're well placed for getting out. The Black Isle is just over the bridge, maybe twenty minutes. Cromarty is a pretty fishing village on the Black Isle. Further north, you've got Dornoch and Golspie. Inland, it's proper Highland scenery straight away. Glen Affric is about an hour's drive, maybe a bit more, but it's spectacular if you want a big day out.
What's here: Washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is right outside.
