Old Midoxgate Farmhouse
Old Midoxgate Farmhouse is our place up near Hill of Fearn. It's a detached stone farmhouse, set back from the lane. It's been in the family a long time. The garden's big, with lawns and shrubs. It looks out over fields.
It sleeps four in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. One is a wet room with a bath on the ground floor, which is handy. The other is a shower room upstairs. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable but not posh.
The stairs are the original ones. They're a bit steep and narrow in places. Just so you know.
You're a few minutes' drive from the coast. Balintore and Shandwick have sandy beaches and a harbour. It's about three miles to a shop or a pub. The town of Tain is ten minutes away for bigger shops and places to eat.
You're right near the North Coast 500 route if that's your plan. For golf, Royal Dornoch, Tain, and Golspie are all close. You see a lot of wildlife around here. Deer, birds of prey, and sometimes dolphins along the coast.
What's there? A washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Plenty of parking. The garden is yours to use. No pets, sorry.
