Fisher's Cottage is in Balintore, on the north-east coast. It's a single-storey stone cottage, an old fisherman's place right by the beach. You're literally a couple of minutes' walk from the sand and the little harbour.
The cottage sleeps three. There's a kingsize bedroom and a single bedroom, plus a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's clean and in good order. Because it's all on one level and the entrance has no steps, it's straightforward for someone with limited mobility.
The living room is bright and comfortable. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The kitchen is at the back and has a dishwasher and washing machine. The back door opens onto an enclosed garden with a lawn and somewhere to sit outside.
Balintore is quiet. There's a village shop and a post office about five minutes away on foot. The pub and a restaurant are maybe a ten-minute walk. The beach is the main thing, really. It's a lovely stretch of sand. You can often see dolphins from the shore here.
Tain is about a ten-minute drive. It's a nice old town with supermarkets and a few places to eat. For golf, the famous courses at Royal Dornoch and Brora are within half an hour. If you like whisky, the Glenmorangie distillery is just outside Tain.
Inverness is 35 minutes by car if you need a bigger city or the airport. The whole coastline here is good for walking. You can bring one dog.
