The Cottage is in the Carse of Bayfield area. It's semi-detached and sits in a field, looking out over towards Nigg Bay. The view is good, especially when the light's changing.
It sleeps six. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well equipped and comfortable. The stairs are normal, nothing tricky. We've recently had double glazing put in throughout, so it's a bit warmer and quieter now.
The garden is fully enclosed. We put a gate in to make it properly dog-proof, so you can let them out without worry. You can bring up to two dogs.
There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. All the bedding and towels are included. There's a washer, a dishwasher, WiFi, parking for your car. You've also got a cot and highchair if you need them.
For things to do, you're well placed. The RSPB reserve at Nigg Bay is right across the way if you like birdwatching. There are a few good beaches within a short drive. For a meal or a drink, you're about four and a half miles from the nearest shops and pubs.
Dornoch is about a 20 minute drive north. It's a nice old town with a famous cathedral and a good links golf course. Cromarty, to the south, is a bit closer and is a lovely little historic harbour town. You can get dolphin watching boat trips from there too.
If you're coming with a bigger group, we have the cottage next door called Rosscot. You can book them together, as the gardens adjoin, and that sleeps twelve in total.
