The Cottage is in Carse of Bayfield. It's Easter Ross, on the Scottish east coast. It's a semi-detached house, so you've got neighbours one side. The main thing is the view. It looks out over fields towards the sea at Nigg Bay. It's an RSPB reserve over there, so you get a lot of birds.
It sleeps six, in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. It's not a show home, but it's well-equipped and clean. We've put in double-glazing throughout to keep the heat in and the noise out.
The garden is enclosed with a gate, so it's secure for dogs. We allow two. There's a patio area with a BBQ. Inside, there's a woodburning stove for the colder evenings, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and WiFi. All the bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
For families, we've got a cot, a highchair, and a stairgate.
The location is good for getting about. You've got the beach a short drive away. There are some nice coastal walks right from the door. The historic towns of Dornoch and Cromarty are close. Dornoch has its cathedral and good golf. Cromarty is a pretty harbour town. You can get boat trips from there to see dolphins.
Shops, pubs, and restaurants are in Tain, about four and a half miles away.
If you've got a bigger group, you can book the cottage next door, Rosscot, as well. Together they sleep twelve and the gardens join up.
