Rosscot

Rosscot is out at Carse of Bayfield. It's a detached cottage, so you're on your own. It looks out over fields towards Nigg Bay and the Cromarty Firth. The view is good.

It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and comfortable, not luxurious. It's got a woodburning stove, which is nice in the evenings.

The garden is enclosed, so it's fine for dogs. We take up to two. There's parking right there.

You're a bit out of the way. The nearest shops are about four and a half miles. Pubs are three miles. It's quiet.

The coast is easy to get to. There are beaches you can drive to, facing different ways. The RSPB reserve at Udale Bay is close for birdwatching. You can get sea trips from Cromarty. Historic Cromarty is just a short ferry ride across the Firth.

Inverness is about 45 minutes by car if you need a city or the airport. Good for touring the Highlands from here. Plenty of castles and golf courses within a half hour drive.

Inside, it's got what you'd expect: TV, wifi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. The shower is over the bath.
