Cross Tides is in Hilton of Cadboll, right on the shore. It's a stone cottage from the 1800s, one of a row. The garden gate opens straight onto the beach and the little harbour.
It's for two people. One bedroom and a shower room downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The stairs are narrow and a bit steep, like most old cottages.
There's a woodburning stove in the front room. Upstairs is a second sitting room with a table and chairs. The best thing about it is the view from up there. You can see right across the bay. We've watched dolphins from the window. Sometimes you see the fishing boats coming in.
The village is quiet. There's a pub and a shop a few minutes walk away. The pub does food. Tain is about ten minutes drive if you need a bigger supermarket or more shops. It's a nice old town.
The beach is sandy in parts, rocky in others. Good for walks. You can see dolphins and porpoises from the shore. The area is good for cycling, golf, or just driving around to see the coastline. It's not crowded.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, full fibre WiFi, and parking for one car. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs.
