Barn Owl Cottage is in Newton, which is a little hamlet between Portmahomack and Tain up in the Highlands. It's a single-storey cottage, so everything's on the ground floor. It's detached, set in our garden, but you have your own private bit out the front. The view from there is over fields towards the hills.
It's for two people. One bedroom with a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's bright and tidy inside, comfortable. The main room has French doors that open out onto a patio with some lawn.
You're a mile from the coast. You can walk to the shore at Inver from the door if you want. The proper sandy beaches are at the seaboard villages like Portmahomack, about ten minutes in the car. The area's good for walking or cycling. You're right by the North Coast 500 route.
Tain is three miles away. That's where you'll find shops, places to eat, a pub. There's a golf course there. Royal Dornoch isn't far either if you're a golfer. For things to see, the Tarbat Discovery Centre has local history stuff. The Glenmorangie distillery is nearby. Dornoch is worth a trip too.
In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, TV, WiFi included. Bedding and towels are provided. Parking is right outside. No pets. The garden is enclosed.
