Archie is a converted double decker bus, parked in Tain in the Highlands. It's a detached property, so you get the bit of land it's on to yourselves. The bus sleeps up to ten people, but it's in three bedrooms on the upper deck, so you need to be okay sharing space.
Downstairs is open plan. The living area has some of the original bus seats, which are comfortable enough. There's a dining table and a kitchen with what you need for simple meals. There's a TV and WiFi. The two shower rooms are downstairs too. They're modern.
Outside, there's a covered deck area with seating. Parking is on site.
The stairs to the upper deck are the original bus stairs. They're steep and a bit narrow. The bedrooms are up there. They're cosy, with good storage.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. Bedding and towels are included.
Tain itself is a nice town. There's a local pub within walking distance, and shops for basics. The Tain & District Museum is interesting if you like local history. The Glenmorangie Distillery is just outside town if you want a tour.
For beaches, Dornoch is about a ten-minute drive over the bridge. The Dornoch Firth is good for walks. Tain Golf Club is nearby if that's your thing.
Further out, you're well placed for exploring the east coast. Inverness is about 40 minutes south by car. The Highland Archive Centre is there. To the north, places like Dunrobin Castle or the Falls of Shin are within a reasonable drive.
