The Old Mill Apartment is in Tain. It's a first-floor flat in a converted mill building. Sleeps six across two bedrooms, but they're family rooms with a double bed and singles, so it's really for families or groups who don't mind sharing. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The main thing is the space inside. It's all open plan, so the living room, kitchen and dining area are one big room. Good for everyone being together. There's a wood burner for cooler nights. The French doors open onto a small Juliet balcony. You can't step out, but you can open the doors wide.
There's one shower room. Parking is right outside.
Tain's a quiet town. You can walk to the local shops, pubs and places to eat. It's a proper Highland town, so if you're after a big nightlife scene, you'd need to drive. The Glenmorangie Distillery is on the edge of town. You can walk there in about twenty minutes.
For beaches, Dornoch is about nine miles away. It's a good, long sandy beach. If you want to play golf, the Royal Dornoch Golf Club is nearby. It gets very busy so you'd need to book well ahead.
The place is dog-friendly, you can bring one. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, Wi-Fi, and a TV.
