Arctic Unit And Trailer Conversion
This place is called the Arctic Unit And Trailer Conversion. It's on the edge of Tain, in the Highlands.
It sleeps ten, but it's only got four bedrooms. Two of them are mezzanines, so you climb a ladder to get up into the bed. It's a bit different. There are two separate shower rooms.
The building is a converted industrial unit and a static caravan joined together. It's detached and private. The rating is 4 Star. It's clean and warm, but it's not a fancy hotel. It's more practical.
You can bring one dog. There's parking right there. Bedding and towels are included. There's a TV, and the heating and electric are all included.
Tain has the usual shops and a couple of supermarkets. There are places to eat. The Glenmorangie Distillery is just on the other side of town if you're into whisky.
Dornoch is about ten minutes drive over the bridge. It's got a very good beach. The area is good for walking. National Trust for Scotland has places like Glen Affric about an hour's drive away. You can drive up to John o' Groats in under two hours.
It's a straightforward place for a big group. You get what you see.
