Ord Cottage is on the edge of Milton, near Kildary. It’s a small, whitewashed cottage, built for a farm worker originally. You can't miss it.
The cottage sleeps four. Two double bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom with a shower. It’s a 4 Star place, which means it’s comfortable and well kept. The living room is a good size and has a wood burner. It works well, heats the whole place.
The kitchen has what you need, a washing machine and a dishwasher. There’s a proper enclosed garden out the back, so it’s safe for a dog. You can sit out there.
For beaches, Shandwick Bay and Portmahomack are about ten minutes drive. They’re sandy, good for walking. The Dornoch Firth is right there for birdwatching or a stroll.
Tain is five minutes away. It has a Co-op, some shops, places to eat. The Glenmorangie Distillery is there if you want a tour. Royal Dornoch golf course is about twenty minutes up the road.
You’re well placed for the North Coast 500 route. Invergordon is a short drive for more shops or a meal. Further afield, you could get up to the proper north coast or down toward Inverness in under an hour if you fancied a drive.
The cottage has WiFi, all bedding and towels are included, and parking is right outside. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
