Ivydene Cottage

Ivydene Cottage is in Cromarty, on the Black Isle. It's a terraced house in a quiet square in the old part of town. The building is from the late 1700s, so one of the oldest here, but it was all redone inside in 2007.

It sleeps six. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well kept and comfortable. The space works better than you might think from the outside.

You're two minutes from the beach. Shops and a couple of pubs are a short walk away. One does decent food. The garden out the back is enclosed.

Inverness is about half an hour's drive if you need a bigger supermarket or the train station.

For getting out, you're right on the Black Isle. Good for birdwatching and dolphins sometimes in the Firth. The local history is interesting too, there's the Hugh Miller museum just up the road. Further out, within maybe half an hour, you've got Chanonry Point for dolphin spotting, or Fort George.

What's here: parking for one car, washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, towels and bedding included. You can bring two dogs.

If you're looking into things to do, these sites are useful: National Trust for Scotland and Highland Council for local information.
