This is Highland Sanctuary. It’s in Embo, which is a small place on the coast near Dornoch in the Highlands.
The cottage is detached, sleeps six, and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating. The whole place is wheelchair accessible. There’s a ramp to the front door, the layout is all on one level, and there’s a wet room. The deck is accessible too.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a wood burning stove. The kitchen has an Aga with an induction plate. Off the main living room, there's a games room with a pool table. Outside, the deck looks towards the sea. The garden is fully enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog. There’s a potting shed in the garden that’s been turned into a little reading room. It’s a quiet spot.
The beach is about a five minute walk away. It's a good, sandy beach. Dornoch is two miles away. It has shops, places to eat, and the famous Royal Dornoch Golf Course. There's a pipe band in the square on Saturday evenings in summer.
Further out, Dunrobin Castle is about a 15 minute drive north. It's worth a visit. Loch Fleet nature reserve is nearby too, good for seeing seals and birds. If you want to go further, Inverness is about an hour's drive south.
For facilities: parking is on site. There’s a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and storage for bikes or surfboards. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
