Groomscott is our place in Pendeen. It used to be a stable barn, so it's got a solid feel to it. We converted it a while back.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. One bedroom is a double, the other has two adult-sized bunk beds. You can see the Scilly Isles from the main bedroom window if the weather's clear. We've got a wood burner in the living room. We'll leave you some logs to start you off. There's a TV and wifi, and a washing machine. We leave bedding and towels for you.
Outside, there's a deck at the front with chairs, and a walled garden at the back with a barbecue. It's private. You can park right there.
We take up to two dogs. There's a small charge for that.
It's a 3 Star place. That means it's clean and everything works, but it's not a show home. It's a cottage.
The local pub is a few minutes' walk. They do good food. There's a small shop in Trewellard for basics. We're on the coast path, so you can walk straight out onto it. The old tin mines at Levant and Botallack are very close. They're run by the National Trust and give you a real sense of the area's history.
You're about ten minutes by car from St Just. St Ives and Penzance are about a twenty-minute drive. Sennen Cove is good for surfing. For a big day out, St Michael's Mount at Marazion is well worth a visit.
We live nearby. We'll make sure there's milk, tea, and coffee for when you arrive.
