This is Glencairn. It's a first-floor apartment in a quiet part of Inverness. Sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a modern place and they've done it up nicely.
The living room is a good size and has a wood burner. There's a bay window. The kitchen has everything you'd need, including a dishwasher and a washing machine tucked away.
Now, the garden. It's outside the kitchen, but it's accessed by a spiral staircase. You have to lift a bit of the kitchen worktop to get to it. It's there, you just need to know where to look. The stairs to get down are steep and they're open spiral stairs. Worth knowing.
The apartment is about a ten-minute walk from the River Ness. You can see the castle from there. Inverness itself has all the usual shops, cafes, and restaurants. There are a few golf courses nearby, including Castle Stuart.
For things to do locally, you've got a cinema, a swimming pool at the Aquadome, that sort of thing, all within about ten minutes' drive.
It's a good spot for getting out into the Highlands. Loch Ness is right there for a boat trip. Nairn Beach is about a 20-minute drive east if you fancy the coast. Good walking country all around.
Facilities are pretty complete: wood burner, WiFi, TV, parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
