Ladybird Cottage is in Scaniport, just outside Inverness. It's a barn conversion on our land, near our house. It's in a quiet spot with trees around it.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's handy. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's well equipped and comfortable. It's got underfloor heating downstairs.
It's a good base for getting about. Loch Ness is about ten minutes drive away. For history, Culloden Battlefield is close. If you want a proper day out, the Moray Firth coast is about forty minutes north. You can sometimes see dolphins from the shore there, around Chanonry Point. Fort George is up that way too.
Inverness is fifteen minutes by car for shops, restaurants, the cinema. There's a local shop about two miles from the cottage. The nearest pub with food is four miles.
For walking, you're not far from the Great Glen Way. Cyclists can get to some forest trails easily. The Cairngorms National Park is under an hour south if you fancy bigger hills.
What's here: Enclosed garden. Parking for two cars. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. TV. Wood burning stove. All bedding and towels are included. No pets.
