This is The Bothy. It's a one-bedroom cottage for two people, part of a small group of three places called Laggan Steading. It's in Scaniport, which is just outside Inverness.
It's a 5 Star place, so it's all been done to a high standard. Everything's new and well looked after. The main room is open-plan with high ceilings. There's a wood burner for chilly evenings. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher and washing machine. The bed is a king size, but they can split it into two singles if you ask beforehand. The bathroom has a big walk-in shower.
Outside, you have a private courtyard with a table and chairs. There's a large shared lawn area with some big trees. You can park right at the cottage.
Location-wise, you're about ten minutes drive from the centre of Inverness. It's a straight run in on the main road. Dores, which is on the shore of Loch Ness, is only a few minutes in the other direction. There's a pub there with loch views.
From here, you can easily get into Inverness for shops, cafes, or the theatre. For walks, you're right on the edge of everything. Loch Ness is obviously the big draw. A bit further out, you've got Culloden Battlefield, plenty of castles like Urquhart, and the Cairngorms National Park isn't far. If you're here to explore the Highlands, it's a good, comfortable base.
A welcome pack is left for you when you arrive. No pets, I'm afraid.
