House By The Loch is near Dunlichity, about fifteen minutes drive south of Inverness. It looks out over Loch Duntelchaig. The view is the main thing, really. You see it from most rooms.
It's a big house. It sleeps nineteen people in nine bedrooms. There are six bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and has everything. It's good for groups.
The layout is unusual. You come in through the front door into a sort of disco room. It has fairy lights, trees, a disco ball. The coffee table turns into a poker table. Then there's a cosy lounge area off that, and a very large open-plan kitchen and dining room with a bar. The dining table seats twenty. Doors lead out to the patio.
There's also a cinema room with nine reclining chairs, and a games room with a snooker table, table football, and games consoles. Plenty of board games and books around.
One twin bedroom and a wet room are on the ground floor. They're wheelchair accessible. The rest of the bedrooms are upstairs. There's a mix: super king rooms, twins, a family room, a triple, and a single. One bathroom has a whirlpool bath.
It's set up for kids. There are bed guards, playpens, toys, cots, highchairs, the lot.
Outside, there's a big patio with a large dining table and a charcoal barbecue. The lawn has a stone wall and looks over the loch.
The local pub and a beach are about five and a half miles away. Inverness is the nearest proper town for shops.
You're well placed for getting out. Loch Ness is close. You can go to Aviemore for skiing in winter, or golf, fishing, walking, kayaking. The coast isn't far.
Facilities: everything's included. Washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, WiFi, Sky TV, parking. No pets.
