Song Bird Cottage
Song Bird Cottage is a two bedroom place in Scaniport, about 10 minutes drive north of Inverness centre. It's a converted farm building. Sleeps four. One bathroom.
It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's in good order, and it's clean. It's in a quiet spot, surrounded by trees and fields. The garden is enclosed with a patio area. Plenty of parking right outside.
Inside, it's got a washing machine, TV, and all your bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The stairs are a fairly tight cottage spiral, and there's a stairgate at the bottom.
The location is the main thing. You're on the edge of everything. Inverness for shops and restaurants is only a ten minute drive south. Head a bit further north and you're quickly into proper Highland scenery. Loch Ness is about 20 minutes away. The Moray Coast, with some good beaches, is about half an hour to the east.
If you want to go a bit further, Culloden Battlefield and Fort George are both within a 30 minute drive. For walking, you're not far from a lot of the Great Glen Way. There's plenty of information in the cottage about local things to do.
