This is Benula Lodge. It's on the Ness Castle Estate, near Inverness. It's a detached wooden lodge, one of a few on the site. You're right on the river bank, so you get the view from the living room and deck.
It sleeps seven. Four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, so it's good for groups who don't want to share. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable, not luxurious.
The lodge has a woodburning stove, which you'll appreciate on cooler evenings. There's a deck with a barbecue that overlooks the river. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. We provide bedding and towels. You can bring one dog.
You're about ten minutes by car from the centre of Inverness. There's a shop a mile away, and a pub about two and a half miles. The location is the main thing. You're in the countryside with the river right there, but you can be in the city for a meal or shopping very quickly.
For things to do, Culloden Battlefield is close. Loch Ness is about twenty minutes drive for boat trips. You can see dolphins on the Moray Firth. If you want a proper day out, you can drive to places like Glencoe or even the Isle of Skye, but that's a longer drive.
Useful links if you're planning: National Trust for Scotland at Culloden and Visit Scotland Highlands. The estate can arrange salmon fishing if you're interested, you'd need to ask them about that directly.
