Weir Cottage
Weir Cottage is a single storey cottage on the Ness Castle Estate, near Inverness. It's attached to another lodge, Red Squirrel Lodge, which you might see guests at. You've got the garden to yourselves.
It sleeps four, has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got one of those 5 Star ratings, so it's comfortable and well looked after. Everything's on the ground floor, which is handy.
You get a good view of the river from the cottage. The patio area is nice, and there's a barbecue. Inside, it's open plan with a woodburning stove for chilly evenings. It's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
The estate is two and a half miles from the nearest pub, a mile from the shop. Inverness itself is about ten minutes away by car. You can get everything you need there.
For things to do: walking is right on the doorstep. Culloden Battlefield is close by. You're in a good spot for Loch Ness, dolphin watching on the Moray Firth, or visiting a distillery if that's your thing. Further out, you could drive to places like Glencoe or the Isle of Skye for a day trip, but that's a longer drive.
