Ghillies Lodge is on the Ness Castle Estate, just outside Inverness. It's a detached house that sleeps six. There are three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.
The place is a five-star lodge. That means it's well equipped and comfortable.
It looks out over the River Ness. You've got your own garden with a patio and a BBQ. There's plenty of parking. It's got a wood burner, WiFi, and a washing machine. The whole place is on one level so it's wheelchair friendly.
You can bring one dog. We provide the bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
The estate is quiet. There's fishing on the river, by arrangement. It's good walking country right from the door.
For shops or a meal out, you're about ten minutes by car from Inverness centre. The nearest proper shop is about a mile away, the nearest pub two and a half.
You're well placed for days out. Inverness is close for the shops and restaurants. Culloden Battlefield is a short drive away. Loch Ness is about twenty minutes. You can get boat trips from there, or go dolphin watching on the Moray Firth. The Cawdor Castle grounds are worth a visit. If you fancy driving further, Glencoe or the Isle of Skye make for a long but good day out.
