Dove Cottage is in Inverness, in the Crown area. It's a ten minute walk to the city centre, maybe less. You don't really need a car if you're staying here, the train and bus stations are close too.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's been recently done up to a good standard. Everything works and it's clean. The shower is a walk-in one with one of those big rainfall heads.
There's a proper kitchen with a dishwasher and a washing machine. French doors open out to a patio garden at the back. It's enclosed, so it's private. You can sit out there if the weather's alright.
A deli, a baker, a coffee shop, and a pub are literally two minutes away. The pub does food. For anything else, you can walk into the centre in a few minutes. The Victorian Market and the Eastgate shopping centre are there.
Inverness is a good base for seeing things. Loch Ness is about eight miles away. Culloden Battlefield is seven miles. If you're into golf, Castle Stuart links is the same distance. The beaches at Nairn or Rosemarkie are about fifteen miles.
Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot. There's a TV and Wi-Fi. The parking is on-street, so it's first come first served, but it's usually fine.
