Red Kite Cottage is in Glackmore, about six miles north of Inverness, just off the A9. It's a detached bungalow, so everything is on one floor.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, one double and one with two single beds. There's one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. The main living area is all open plan, with the kitchen at one end. It's straightforward. The wi-fi works.
Outside, there's a big deck with seating, and a large enclosed lawned garden behind it. The garden backs onto a bit of private woodland. It's quiet. You get views down the garden to the trees.
The place is good for wheelchairs, with level access at the front and wide enough doorways. There's an electric vehicle charger on the drive.
You can take two dogs. The garden is fully enclosed, which is handy for that.
The nearest pub and restaurant is about three miles away in Tore. A proper shop is further, in Muir of Ord or Inverness, so plan ahead.
Location wise, it's easy to get onto the A9. You can go north towards the Black Isle and further up into the Highlands, or south into Inverness. Fortrose village is about 20 minutes away, where you can sometimes see dolphins from the harbour. Rosemarkie beach is just past that.
