Moonshine Cottage is near the village of Culbokie, on the Black Isle. It's about a 20 minute drive from Inverness. The cottage is detached, in its own big garden. The views are over fields towards the hills.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms are upstairs and each has its own small toilet with a basin. There are two proper bathrooms downstairs, one with a large bath, the other with a shower. They're decorated in a beach hut style.
The main living space is open plan, with a high ceiling and big windows facing the view. The stairs up to the bedrooms are a standard spiral staircase, not steep. We've got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
The garden is enclosed, so it’s safe for dogs. You can see our house from the garden, and we have ducks. The property has underfloor heating and a whole-house air filtration system. There's an electric vehicle charger, but there's a fee to use it, so you need to ask us first.
Culbokie village is a mile away. It has a shop, a pub, and a restaurant. The coast is about 15 minutes drive. You can often see dolphins from places like Chanonry Point.
Inverness is your nearest big town for supermarkets and things like that. It's about 25 minutes by car. For a day out, Glen Affric is good for walking and is roughly half an hour away. The Culloden battlefield is also within a 30 minute drive.
Other facilities: there's a washing machine, tumble dryer, and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to three dogs.
