The Garden Flat is part of Ardullie Lodge, which is in Lemlair, near the Cromarty Firth. It's a ground floor flat in one of the outbuildings. The main lodge is a big, old listed building from the 17th century. You'll see it on the hillside as you cross the bridge.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Both bedrooms have zip-and-link beds, so you can have them as twins or doubles. They're straightforward rooms. The shower room is modern.
The main living space is a good size. There's a wood burner, which works well and is nice to have on cooler evenings. The patio doors lead straight out into your own enclosed garden. It's secure, so good for dogs. The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher and washing machine.
Your garden is lawned, with a seating area. Beyond that, there are the main lodge gardens to explore. They're mature, with some huge old trees and places to sit. It's very quiet.
Parking is right outside the flat.
Location-wise, you're just off the NC500 route. The Black Isle is a few minutes' drive. Rosemarkie beach is about 20 minutes. Inverness is about half an hour south. If you head west, Ullapool is under an hour. The west coast feels very accessible from here.
Useful links for planning: National Trust for Scotland Highlands and North Coast 500.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, all bedding and towels included. It's rated 4 Star. The flat is wheelchair accessible at the entrance. Up to two dogs are welcome.
