St Brighs is an old stone boathouse from the 1860s, right on the shore of the Cromarty Firth. It's detached and very private. You can see the water from most of the windows. The garden leads straight down to the shoreline, which is tidal. There's a gate in the fence.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. One kingsize room, one with twins. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are the original wood, so they're a bit steeper and narrower than modern ones. The front door is heavy solid wood.
Downstairs, there's a kitchen and dining area with a wood burner. The main living room has French doors out to the garden. We leave the basics for the wood burner, but you'll need to bring or buy more logs.
Dingwall is about two miles away. It's got supermarkets, shops, and a few places to eat. For a bigger day out, Inverness is about a 25 minute drive.
You're right on the water so you'll see a lot of birds. People often spot dolphins in the Firth too. There are good walks in the local forestry. For a proper hill, Ben Wyvis isn't far. The Black Isle is across the water, it's got some nice beaches and villages. Golf, fishing, and kayaking are all possible nearby.
The facilities are all there. Washing machine, TV, wifi, parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
