St Brighs is on the Cromarty Firth, near Lemlair. It was a boathouse, built in the 1860s. We've updated it but kept the stone walls and the old feel. It's detached and very quiet. You won't see any other houses from the garden.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well kept. The stairs are made of Douglas fir. They're fine, but watch your head on the way up.
The kitchen has everything you'd need. There's a wood burner in there for the evenings. The main living room has French doors that open straight into the garden. The garden goes right down to the shore. There's a fence and a gate. The shore is tidal, so it's stones and seaweed sometimes, and water at others. If you've got young kids, you'll need to keep an eye on them by the water.
You're about two miles from Dingwall. That's where the supermarkets are, and a few pubs and places to eat. For a proper beach day, you'd drive over the bridge to the Black Isle. Chanonry Point is a good spot to try and see dolphins. The mountain you can see is Ben Wyvis. If you're up for a big walk, that's the local Munro.
The house has parking. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
