Paterson Cottage is ours. It's a stone cottage, detached, on our farm just outside Kilcoy. It's about 15 minutes to Inverness if you need the shops, but you're properly in the countryside here.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. We've restored it, so it's solid and comfortable, but it's not a show home. The main room is open plan with a wood burner. The ceilings are high, so it feels quite airy. The windows look out over your garden and then our fields.
It's all on the ground floor. The patio doors open onto a private patio with a bit of lawn, and it's enclosed. There's parking right there.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see sheep. Sometimes you hear tractors. We've got fishing rights on the river nearby if you fancy it. The cottage is wheelchair accessible.
Inverness is your nearest big place. Loch Ness is about 25 minutes south. If you want mountains and proper walks, you're on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park, maybe 40 minutes east. The Black Isle is close for dolphin spotting. For castles, Cawdor is about 20 minutes away and Urquhart is on Loch Ness.
What's here: Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, satellite TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring one dog. There's a BBQ.
