Willow Lodge

Willow Lodge is a new build, about three miles outside Muir of Ord. It's on the edge of a field. The main thing is the view. All the main rooms look out over it. It's a quiet spot.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's very well finished and has everything you'd expect. It's all on one level, which is good for access. The wet room is spacious. The deck around the house is enclosed, which is handy for dogs.

Inside it's open plan. Big smart TV, decent kitchen with a breakfast bar. The furniture is arranged so you can see the view. Each bedroom has doors out to the deck.

You're well placed for getting about. Inverness is about twenty minutes by car. Culloden Battlefield is on that road. The Black Isle is right there for driving around. The Moray Firth coast, with places like Cromarty, is maybe half an hour.

For a big day out, Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle are under an hour. Going over to the west coast towards Skye is a bit further, but you can do it in a morning if you set off early.

Locally, there's a shop and a pub in Muir of Ord, about three miles. For a supermarket, you'd go to Tain or Inverness.

It's got parking right outside. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.

If you're planning trips, Historic Environment Scotland and the National Trust for Scotland sites are worth a look.
