Willow Lodge is ours. It's detached, on the edge of a croft, near Newmore. The main thing is the view. All the main rooms face out over the fields and hills. There are French doors in the living area and every bedroom.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One is an en-suite shower room off the main bedroom, the other is a wet room on the ground floor. That one is wheelchair accessible. The entrance and the main living space are all on one level too. The stairs inside go up to the two other bedrooms, they're fine, normal stairs.
The decking is all around one side and the front. It's enclosed, so it's safe for dogs and kids. There's proper outdoor furniture for six.
Inside it's open plan. Kitchen with a breakfast bar, living area, TV on the wall. It's been done up recently so everything works. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. All the bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs.
You're a few miles from Muir of Ord. There's a shop, a pub, a restaurant there. It's about a half hour drive to Inverness for bigger shops. The Black Isle is good for walking straight from the door. For a specific walk, the Walkhighlands website is useful.
If you want to drive out, you can be at Loch Ness or Culloden in under 45 minutes. The Moray Firth coast, for dolphins and beaches, is about the same. Further north, the beaches around Dornoch and Golspie are worth the trip. For local history, the National Trust for Scotland Culloden page has the details.
You can park right next to the lodge. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. The property is graded 5 Star, which reflects the accessibility features and the finish.
