Balnain 1
Balnain 1 is one of a group of cottages on the Brahan Estate, near Ussie. It's a two-bedroom place that sleeps four. You've got a garden and parking right outside.
The cottage has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. There's an open fire in the living room, which is nice on a cooler evening. The stairs are typical for a place like this, so watch your step.
You're between Dingwall and Contin. There's a shop and places to eat a short drive away in either direction. The estate itself is good for walking. The River Conon runs through it, and Loch Ussie is there to explore. Fishing for brown trout or salmon is free for guests on the river and loch.
For a day out, the coast is about half an hour's drive. Inverness is 20 minutes or so the other way if you need a bigger supermarket or the train station. You can reach a lot of the Highlands from here within an hour or two, like the Torridon area or the Black Isle.
It says wheelchair accessible entrance, which means you can get in the front door without steps. The rest of the cottage has the stairs I mentioned. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
Facilities are what you'd expect: TV, wifi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included.
