Woodside Hut 3
Woodside Hut 3 is on our farm in Bottacks, near Strathpeffer. It's a single hut, so you're on your own. It's set up on a bit of a plateau, so the view is really good. You can see the strath, the hills, and right across the Cromarty Firth to the Black Isle.
It sleeps two, one bedroom and one shower room. It’s got a 3 Star rating. Everything's on the ground floor and the entrance is step-free. Inside it's open plan, so the living area and kitchen are all in one room.
You're on a working croft, so there are sheep in the fields. There's a parking spot right by your hut. Outside, there's a deck with a firepit and a separate raised deck with two single wooden hot tubs on it. They're private to your hut.
We leave a welcome pack for you with some of our own produce. Sometimes that includes honey from the hives on the hillside.
For getting around, you're right on the edge of the NC500 route. Strathpeffer, the spa town, is a few minutes' drive away for shops and cafes. The Black Isle is just over the bridge. Inverness is about 25 minutes by car if you need a bigger supermarket or the station.
You can be at the west coast in an hour and a half, or up to John O' Groats in about two hours if you want a long day trip. Closer to home, there's a golf course nearby, and fishing and horse riding can be arranged locally.
Facilities wise: the WiFi works, but it's a farm so it's not super fast. All bedding and towels are included. There's parking. Sorry, no pets.
