Woodside Hut 2 Bottacks

Woodside Hut 2 is in Bottacks, just outside Strathpeffer. It's a proper little hut, detached, on a working croft. Sleeps two in one bedroom.

It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. The main thing is the view. You're up on the side of the hill, so you look out over the whole strath. You can see the town, the forest, the mountains, the river, and right out to the Cromarty Firth and the Black Isle. It's all there from your deck.

The hut itself is one open-plan room with a kitchen area, bed, and seating. The bathroom has a shower. Outside, there's a raised deck with two single person hot tubs on it. They're bespoke, built into the deck. There's also a seating area with a firepit. The garden is enclosed and it's all for your use.

You're on a farm, so you'll see sheep, chickens, and ducks. They give you a welcome pack with some produce from the croft, sometimes including honey from their own hives.

Location is good for getting around. Strathpeffer, the Victorian spa town, is a few minutes' drive for shops and cafes. You're right near the NC500 route if that's your plan. The Black Isle is just over the firth. You can be at the east or west coast in well under two hours for a day trip. For walking, there's plenty right from the door, and you're not far from some bigger hills.

Facilities: WiFi, parking right by the hut, bedding and towels are included. It's all electric. No pets.
