The Dolphin is in Avoch. It's a ground floor apartment, so you don't have any stairs to deal with. That's the main thing about it.
It sleeps nine, but in two bedrooms. So you'd need to be happy sharing rooms, or be a big family. The place is set up for that, more than for separate couples. It's got three bathrooms, which helps when there are a lot of you. Everything's on one level and the doorways are wide, which is good for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
It's in a building with other places, so you'll see other people coming and going. There's a shared garden out the back with a patio and a BBQ you can use.
You're right in the village. The shop and a couple of takeaways are a two-minute walk. The seafront is just down the road. It's a proper old fishing village, not a tourist spot, which I like. For a bigger shop, Fortrose is the next village along.
The good beach is at Rosemarkie, about three miles away. It's a lovely stretch of sand. If you walk along it east, you get to Chanonry Point. You can sometimes see dolphins from there, especially on a rising tide.
This is Black Isle country. Good for cycling if you've got bikes. The golf at Fortrose is right along the coast. Inverness is about half an hour's drive if you need the city or the airport.
Inside, it's all open plan. The kitchen has what you need. There's a washing machine, a TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
