Birch Cottage is one of three old farm cottages on Easter Dalziel Farm, near Inverness. It's semi-detached. The garden is shared with the other two cottages, but it's a big space so you can find your own spot.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, but one of them is upstairs. The other two and the family bathroom are on the ground floor, which is handy. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean.
The kitchen has what you need. The living room has an old stove that works. You can see fields from the windows. You'll see sheep and Highland cattle in the fields around the farm.
The coast is less than a mile away. There's a pebble beach where people often see dolphins. For sand, you need to go a bit further to Nairn or over to Rosemarkie on the Black Isle.
Inverness is about ten minutes by car for shops and things. Loch Ness is another ten minutes past that. The start of the NC500 route is in Inverness if you want to drive north.
Aviemore and the Cairngorms are about forty minutes south. Good for walking or skiing. The Moray coast to the east has nice fishing villages. The Speyside Whisky Trail is that way too.
The famous golf course at Castle Stuart is just a few hundred yards from the farm gate. There's fly fishing on local rivers if you're into that.
Facilities: parking, wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
