Ballagan Lodge is in Leanach, just outside Inverness. It's a modern lodge, single storey, so no stairs to worry about. There's a deck that goes around most of it, with a table and chairs. It’s all enclosed.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms. One double with its own toilet, and a twin room. Then there's a separate shower room. It's a 4 Star, so it's in good order. Everything works and it’s clean.
The living space is all one room. Kitchen at one end, then a dining table, then sofas looking out at the view. You get the fields.
You’re a couple of miles from the Culloden Battlefield. It’s a National Trust site, so you can walk the ground and they have a museum. The Clava Cairns, which are these ancient stone circles, are very close too. If you're interested in Outlander, a lot of that was filmed around here.
Inverness is about ten minutes by car. It’s got all the usual town things: shops, restaurants, a cinema. There’s a leisure centre called the Aquadome if the weather turns. For a day out, Loch Ness is a short drive. You can go on a boat trip from there if you want.
The beach at Nairn is about twenty minutes east along the A96. It’s a good sandy beach.
Facilities: there’s parking right outside. WiFi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. No pets allowed.
