Craigellachie Cottage
This is Craigellachie Cottage. It's up near Wester Galcantray, about seven miles out of Inverness. It's a detached place, about two hundred years old. You can see fields from the windows.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. We've kept it as a proper cottage but it's comfortable. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well looked after. There's a woodburning stove for when it gets cold.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. We can take two. There's off-road parking right next to the house.
Inside there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. All the bedding and towels are included.
The local shop is about a mile away in Croy. The nearest pub with food is three miles, so you'll likely drive to it.
You're not far from a lot of things. Castle Stuart golf course is two miles away. Inverness is a straightforward drive for bigger shops or the station. Culloden Battlefield is close by, and so is Fort George. If you like whisky, you're on the edge of the Speyside trail.
It's a good spot for getting out to the coast or heading towards Loch Ness. You can be on a beach on the Moray Firth or up in the Cairngorms within about half an hour.
