Drummond Neuk

Drummond Neuk is up near Loch Flemington, about ten miles east of Inverness. It’s the old gatehouse to a bigger estate, so it’s quite compact. You get your own entrance and parking space just outside.

It sleeps three in two bedrooms. There’s a kingsize bed in the main room and a single bedroom. The bathroom is modern and has grab rails and a seat in the shower, so it’s good if anyone has trouble getting about.

Inside, it’s all one open-plan room for the living, dining, and kitchen area. It’s furnished well enough. You’ve got a TV, WiFi, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. It’s got a 3 Star rating, so it’s clean and comfortable but not luxurious.

Outside your door is a private bit of garden with a table and chairs. You’re also welcome to wander around our three acres of grounds. There’s woodland at the edge and a path that goes down to the loch. You’ll see plenty of birds.

The location is quiet. It’s a proper rural spot. You’ll need a car. The nearest pub or shop is a couple of miles away.

If you play golf, Castle Stuart and Nairn are both close by. Inverness is about a twenty-minute drive for restaurants and supermarkets. Nairn, with its beach, is about the same distance. For a day out, the Cairngorms National Park or Culloden Battlefield are within half an hour.

One well-behaved dog is welcome. We leave a cot and highchair in the cupboard if you need them.
