Stanford House is on the river in Inverness. It's a big old house built in 1909, so it's got proper walls and original features. You can't miss it from the path.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom plus a toilet downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not new.
You're right on the river Ness. You can see the castle upriver. It's about a ten minute walk to the castle along the path, and you can walk to most things in the centre from there. There's a pub on the water practically next door.
The layout is a bit like a traditional family home. There's a front living room with the river view, then a dining room and another sitting room at the back with a wood burner. The kitchen is at the very back and leads out to a small courtyard garden. The stairs are normal.
It's a good spot for Inverness itself, and also for getting out. You're on the main routes. Loch Ness is about twenty minutes by car. The Cairngorms are maybe forty minutes. You can drive to the Black Isle in half an hour. A day trip to Skye is a long day, but it's doable if you start early.
What's here: parking for one car on the drive, a washing machine, WiFi, the TV, the wood burner, and all the bedding and towels. The garden is just a courtyard. No pets, sorry.
