Antfield House

Antfield House is up near Lochend, so you're at the quieter, northern end of Loch Ness. It's a detached farmhouse on a working farm. The views are good, straight out over fields and trees to the mountains.

The place sleeps ten, in five bedrooms. All five bedrooms have their own bathroom, which is handy with a big group. One bedroom is downstairs. The stairs are fine, they're just normal stairs.

Inside, you've got a main living room with an open fire and a large TV. There's a separate dining room and a kitchen that's got everything you'd need. Off the kitchen there's a utility room with a pool table and darts. They call it a games room, but it's really just that utility space with some stuff in it. It leads out to the patio.

The garden is big and enclosed, so it's safe for kids and dogs. It's mostly lawn. You look out onto a small paddock with horses and donkeys, but that's not for guests to go into.

You're about a ten minute drive from Dores, which has a pub and a beach on the loch shore. Inverness is maybe twenty-five minutes south. If you want to do the tourist bit, Culloden Battlefield is that way too. For a proper beach day, the Moray Coast is around forty minutes east.

In terms of stuff here, it's all included: bedding, towels, WiFi, parking. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, a cot and highchair if needed. You can bring two dogs. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and in good order.
