Farr Out

Alright, so Farr Out is a cottage for two. It's up near Farr, about a twenty-minute drive from Inverness. It's part of an old estate steading that got converted.

Inside, it's all one level. You've got the bedroom and bathroom off to one side, and the living, kitchen, and dining space is open plan. It's a decent size for two people. Everything was redone a couple of years ago. The shower's good.

Outside, there's a little patio with a table and chairs. And next to the cottage, there's a field with llamas. They're curious. They'll come over.

It's quiet up here. You can just walk out from the door onto the estate paths. Loch Farr is on the land too, if you fancy some fishing. No charge for that.

Inverness is your nearest for bigger shops and things. But the point of being here is you're straight into the countryside. The road through Farr to Fort Augustus is very scenic. They used it in that film, 'Local Hero'. You can get down to the south side of Loch Ness quite easily from here.

If you want to drive further, you're right by the start of the North Coast 500 route. But you don't have to go that far to find a good walk.

Facilities wise: it's got Wi-Fi, parking, TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
