The Cosy Cow Shed

The Cosy Cow Shed is in Boreham Street. It's a detached single-storey building on our land, next to our Oast house. You can see the sea from here, it's about four miles off.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The bed has a deep mattress that you can flip over depending on whether you want a warmer or cooler sleep.

There's a wood burner in the lounge and a Smart TV. The kitchen has what you need. Your private patio is just outside the sitting room door, through a gate.

The local pub is a few yards down the road. It's good, does food, and is popular so booking ahead is wise. There's a nice coffee shop in Herstmonceux village too.

You're on the 1066 Country Walk here, so walking is easy. You can walk to Herstmonceux Castle. Pevensey Castle is a good morning's walk away across the marshes. The South Downs National Park is within half an hour by car.

By car, Hailsham with its supermarkets is 10 minutes one way. Battle, with its shops and cafes, is 10 minutes the other. The coast at places like Eastbourne or Hastings is about a 15-20 minute drive. There are buses from the stop next to the property that run to Hastings and Eastbourne.

Facilities include a washing machine, bedding and towels, WiFi, and parking right here. We allow one well-behaved dog. We live nearby if you need anything.
