Retreat
Retreat is in Steven's Crouch, just outside Battle. It's a detached cabin for two people, in a quiet spot next to some woods. You get the place to yourselves.
It's a 4 Star property. One bedroom, one bathroom. Open plan inside. The kitchen is small but it has what you need. The shower is big. Outside there's an enclosed garden area with a hot tub and a BBQ.
Battle High Street is about a mile away. You can walk it, but it's up a country lane so you'll want a torch at night. The Abbey and battlefield are the main historical sites there. For a wider view, English Heritage has the details.
Hastings is a fifteen minute drive. You've got the old town, the pier, and the cliffs at Hastings Country Park. That's good for a walk.
Facilities: parking, TV, bedding and towels included. There's a cot if you need one. The hot tub is checked before you arrive. No pets.
If you're planning walks, South Downs National Park covers a lot of the local area.
