Romney Wagon is an old showman's wagon in a field on our farm at Magham Down. It sleeps two. It's on the edge of a paddock, and you have that whole fence to yourselves.
The wagon itself has the bed up one end and a small kitchen area. The bathroom is separate, in a shepherd's hut about twenty steps away. It's got a proper shower and toilet, and it's just for you. The whole thing is basic but it's dry and clean. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is about right.
It's quiet out here. You'll see horses in the next field. There's a table and chairs outside the wagon to sit and have a drink.
For getting out and about, you're in a good spot. The Cuckoo Trail is close by for a bike ride or a walk. The South Downs National Park is about a twenty minute drive for proper walking. Michelham Priory is nearby if you like that sort of thing. The coast at Eastbourne or Pevensey Bay is about twenty five minutes in the car.
Hailsham's the nearest town for a supermarket or a pub meal. It's a five minute drive.
What's here: all the bedding and towels are included. There's parking right by the wagon. The kitchen has a couple of rings, a microwave, and a small fridge. No pets, sorry.
