The Studio

The Studio is in Hoe, a quiet village just outside Dereham. It's detached and sits by itself at the end of our garden. It was a proper artist's studio years ago. You can tell because of the big window at the front. It's south facing, so the main room gets a lot of sun and looks out over fields.

It's for two people only. One bedroom with a double bed, and one bathroom with a shower. It's got the 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, not fancy or modern. Everything you need is there.

It's very quiet out here. You're on the edge of the village. There's a shop and a pub in Hoe itself, about a twenty minute walk. The pub does food. Dereham is two miles away for supermarkets and other shops.

For getting about, you're in a good spot. Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse is about ten minutes by car. Norwich is about half an hour's drive. King's Lynn is maybe forty minutes. The north Norfolk coast is half an hour away. Wells-next-the-Sea is the main one there. It's got the beach, the harbour, the pine woods. Places like Cley and Titchwell are good for birdwatching.

The Broads are about forty minutes east. If you like old houses, Blickling Hall, Oxburgh Hall and Felbrigg Hall are all within forty-five minutes. There's plenty of walking right from the door. Hoe Common is opposite and it's a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

What's here: there's parking right outside, your own little patio area with a table and chairs, a TV, WiFi, and bike storage if you need it. The electricity is from renewable sources. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
