Lodge Cottage Wendling

Lodge Cottage is in Wendling, Norfolk. It's an annexe attached to another holiday let called The Lodge. You've got your own front door and a bit of garden though.

It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level. Sleeps two in one bedroom. One bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious.

The main thing here is the grounds. The cottage is part of a big estate with 25 acres of gardens and woodland. There are paths you can walk straight from the door. There's an indoor heated swimming pool you can use, and a games room with table tennis and snooker.

It's a rural spot. East Dereham is the nearest proper town, about two and a half miles away. They've got shops, a market, places to eat, and a cinema.

The north Norfolk coast is about a 30 minute drive. Places like Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham have huge sandy beaches. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline there. The Norfolk Broads are about 40 minutes in the other direction if you fancy a boat trip.

If you like walking, the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path are close by. For a day out, Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse is three miles away. Thetford Forest Park, with its walking and cycling trails, is about a 40 minute drive.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot. You can bring up to two dogs.
