The Coach House

The Coach House is in Yaxham, which is a village in mid Norfolk. It's a detached building, the old coach house for the big rectory next door. It's in its own garden, so it's private, and it's down a private drive near the village church.

The house sleeps five in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up to a good standard. It's all on the ground floor, which is useful, and the front door is wheelchair accessible. There's a wood burning stove in the living area for colder nights. The garden is enclosed.

You're allowed one well-behaved dog. Things like bedding, towels, a cot and highchair are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, bike storage and parking right outside.

Yaxham itself is quiet. There's a kids' play area and some footpaths starting from the village. You can get a bus from here to Dereham or Norwich. There's a restaurant and a café about half a mile away.

Dereham is two miles off. It's got the usual shops, supermarkets, an indoor pool, a cinema and a market on Tuesdays and Fridays.

For days out, the Mid Norfolk Railway station is half a mile away. You can get a steam train to Wymondham or Dereham. The Norfolk coast, with its beaches and RSPB reserves, is under an hour's drive. The Broads, the Peddars Way and the Norfolk Coast Path are all within easy reach. Norwich is about half an hour away by car.
