Elesa Cottage is in the village of Elsing, around a ten-minute drive from Dereham. It's a semi-detached cottage, set on a quiet lane. You can walk straight from the front gate onto footpaths. The back garden is enclosed. It's got a patio area and looks out over fields.
The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is comfortable and well-kept. The stairs inside are the original cottage stairs, so they're steep and a bit winding. Something to be aware of if you have very young children or mobility issues.
The local pub is about a quarter of a mile down the road. They do food. The nearest shop is a mile away in Bawdeswell.
Norwich is about half an hour's drive. You've got the castle, the cathedral, and all the shops there. The Norfolk Broads are roughly the same distance east. You can hire day boats from places like Wroxham.
The North Norfolk coast is a bit further, maybe 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. Wells-next-the-Sea and Cromer are the main spots up there for the beach.
For local days out, the Roar Dinosaur Park is about ten minutes away, if you've got children. There are good National Trust houses within a 30 minute drive, like Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall. Sandringham is also about half an hour.
In terms of what's there: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, a woodburner, and a games room in the outbuilding. Bicycle storage is available. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, a highchair, and a stairgate if you need them. The parking is on site. You can bring up to two dogs.
